  Absolutely terrible, disrespectful and rude owners. Refused to honour a credit due to a cancellation (rained out). Would not recommend supporting this business at all.

  Fantastic place to holiday. Very clean, friendly, accommodating staff, and a beautiful setting on Canim lake.

  Not sure what the previous person was complaining about, it's a full wheel barrow load of wood for $15. The resort was very well maintained, and tidy, and the owners were courteous. The water quality in both the lake and on the resort was great! We had a beach site, and our kids thoroughly enjoyed playing in the water for the entire day.

  I have been going to the Ponderosa for 19 years with my family. I am 75 now and treasure every year I still get to go to my happy place. I find Wolfgang and Karen and their daughter Jessie to be wonderful hosts and always wanting to help make our usually two or three week stay the best it can be. This year maybe was a bit more of a challenge with some smokey days but my granddaughters still managed to get lots of water time everyday and skied and learned to wakeboard. We find the place well maintained. Someone said about the gravel, yes it is a lake not the ocean we always come home with a few of those rocks a lot more when the girls were small. It is not a spa like resort it is a family friendly place were everyone can relax and enjoy themselves. We were evacuated because of a fire last Sat. night sorry to have missed some of my time this year. Try it out it just might become your happy place.

  In response to your comment, what I stated in my above review is that you refused to honour a cancellation "credit" by way of telling me that every possible date (for a whole year) your resort was booked up. My husband called a week later, not mentioning our credit and magically there was vacancy. You screamed at me on the phone, hung up, acted dissmisive and blatantley rude and walked away with my credit money.

  The grounds are very poorly maintained and dirty. Absolutely no privacy and very over priced. Who pays 15.00 for a bundle of wood and 1.50 for a 5 min. shower. And the water is brown.... The smell of sewer was disgusting !!
